I was born and raised in Central California where my dad was an insurance agent for over 32 years. After serving in the Army National Guard for six years and graduating from CSU-Fresno, I moved to SoCal to join my wife who was attending medical school at UC Irvine, and I went on to become a healthcare administrator at UCI Medical School and Medical Center for over a decade. However, after witnessing first-hand the positive impact that my father had on his policyholders, often developing lasting relationships while advising and helping with life and property insurance, I decided to make a career change and joined State Farm as an agent in 1993. I had a long history of experience with State Farm as a policyholder, and choosing to work for this particular company was an easy decision due to my positive experiences on their products available, claims service, and competitive prices. It was clear to me that State Farm offers an overall “better buy”.
My wife is now an established physician in the areas of allergy and asthma in the South Bay. We are blessed with two wonderful children. Our son is now the Lead Software Engineer for a company in Southern California where he programs satellites; he and his wife are proud parents of a baby girl. Our daughter, having graduated from UCLA then earning a Masters degree in Public Health at George Washington University, and is now attending medical school. In addition to spending time with my family and two golden retrievers, I enjoy cycling, boating, and hiking.
I am proud to say that our agency team has over 120 years of combined experience in the insurance industry. My dad taught me by example the difference an agent can make in the lives of individuals and families. Our agency team strongly believes our most valuable role is to give individualized help that will take into consideration the changing circumstances of each individual or family.
